—-  OVERVIEW  —-

People and Unity

THEME: Collaborating for Unity

The 10th Annual National Peer Support Conference (an internationally-attended event) will held on August 26-28, 2016 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill; a short walk to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

In partnership with our major sponsor, the Philadelphia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disABILITY Services (DBHIDS), and several other collaborative partners, the conference committee has chosen an excellent conference program, attracted many outstanding pre-conference events, and set the stage for an opportunity for peers across the country and around the world to meet and network with some of the leading voices in peer support today.

Updates and details will be posted on this page as they become available.—

—-   2nd Annual Global Peer Supporter Celebration Day  —-
October 20, 2016

Global Peer Supporter Celebration Day

The National Conference will hold a kick-off event to jump start promotion for the 2nd Annual Global Peer Supporter Celebration Day (this year the global celebration will be on Thursday, October 20). One way you can help is to each to to others in your State, Province, City, Town, Workplace (anywhere) to make them aware of this Global Peer Support Day of Celebration.

If you have contacts in organizations around the world that employ peer supporters or promote the peer support movement in any way, please put them in touch with me (Bill Beverley-Blanco, M.Ed, CPS), to help me organize the events of the day.

GPSCD is authentically a Recovery event. It belongs to those that make it happen and encompasses those who chose to celebrate in as big or as intimate a way as they wish.  It is our Celebration of being Peer Supporters.

However you chose to celebrate, at 12 noon (Local time) capture images of your celebration and send us photos so we may create an annual album for all to enjoy.
Thank you,
Global Peer Supporter Celebration Day Coordinator:
Bill Beverley-Blanco, M.Ed, CPS, LTC, USA (Ret)
